INFORMATION ON PRESSED GLASS OPEN SALTS OF THE
PAST 75 YEARS

I have as a project been trying to find information on and the location
of the molds for pressed glass open salts made over the last 50 years
or so. What I have compiled is up to the date listed on each
information sheet that follows. This is a never ending project, as glass
factories close, molds are sold and some sit in unknown locations. If
you have any additional information on any of these makers molds,
colors made, or the location of other open salt molds of other makers,
please contact me so that this information can be updated and be
available for all our open salt collecting friends

Did you know that there are several open salt collectors clubs in the US? You can find information on them by
going to the Open Salts Information site listed below.

All clubs have joined together to publish a great National Newsletter in color, with lots of information on open salts.
It is available through any club or direct. Information is on the web site listed below.

We also have a National Convention every 2 Years.
The next one will be September 22-25, 2011 in Williamsburg, Virginia

Questions about Open Salts??

There is also an open salt discussion group where you can post questions, comments, pictures and info on open salts,
and just discuss open salts in general.

You have the option of having an email sent to you when something new is posted, or you can just go to the board when
ever you like. With the email option you do not have to go to the board, except to look at pictures when posted or when
you want to comment or ask a question.I think this is a great feature as you always know when something new is posted

This information is incomplete, any additions or corrections are requested
I have been working on putting together a listing of Open Salt Patterns for about 5 years. I am
posting it here as a very incomplete project, but I need input from others to make corrections
and additions to what I have to make it more complete. Please send me any information on any
you may have information on, and where you got the information. Also looking for any old
catalogs, sale listing, etc that would back up information and names.
In collaboration with others I put together a presentation on Heisey Glass Open
Salts and Salt want a be's for a MOSS meeting. It is available here for your
information, and if any of you would like a copy in Power Point for a presentation
for your club or group, just let me know.
